Fishy, indeed! I was distressed to learn that the appeal time had elapsed when our household, and 95% of the households within 300 feet of the proposed tower, never got the notice about the hearing in the first place.
I understand that property values are adversely affected by being within 1000 feet of a cell tower.
I found an article about a church that had signed a contract but moved to get out of it after becoming aware of the neighbors' reaction to the done deal.
